Least Favorite Female Character:

Glory. I adore her minions, but Glory herself holds little appeal or dread for me. Her tantrums are tiresome. She's vain, shallow, entitled, and screechy. And she's not funny. I understand that she's supposed to be a counterpoint to Buffy, but unlike with Buffy, I have zero sympathy or, more importantly, empathy for her or her situation. She's just...unpleasant. As far as Hellgods go, I vastly prefer Illyria.

Even Maggie Walsh is a far more interesting character/villain. One thing I do like about Glory is that she and April together give Buffy the opportunity to say this:

I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.
Buffy, in I Was Made to Love You

The opera was splendid! Bill Irwin was in it! Not so much in a singing capacity, but still! Tonight we're headed to the historic Castro Theater to see the newish Hayao Miyazaki movie, "The Wind Rises".

He seems to do a lot of live performance here in town. I'm starting to think he is local. Plus he, like Paul Reubens, is an alum of McDiva's soon-to-be college.

Glory is my favorite female villain (Second place or shared first place goes to Dark!Willow) XD I also adore Illyria and after reading your meme answer I want to rewatch IWMTLY.

I have a few more days until I'll need to decide on my favorite female villain, but it won't be Glory, for the reasons stated above.

If I had to pick a least favorite non-villainous female, it might be later season Willow. Her character definitely progressed in a believable, if thoroughly unacceptable, way. Vamp!Willow totally owned the badness, and gave us a glimpse of what was to come.

I agree; Gloria was difficult. I didn't dislike her, I just didn't have any feelings about her one way/other. She was as bland as milk. So was her alter ego, who was so bland, I can't remember his name right now.

Glad you enjoyed the opera. Bill Irwin is a hoot!

That's about it. Well, for me there's a bit of a nails-on-chalkboard effect, too. There would have been dozens of more interesting ways to go with her character. Sigh.

Yeah, Glory just seems stupid to me, not Glory herself but the way her character was written. I just found her annoying.

Yeah. She wasn't especially well thought-out, seems to me. Maybe the idea was that we'd underestimate her? I prefer the Trio for that, myself.

I didn't mind Glory but I can understand why not everyone likes her. For this question I went with Jenny Calendar because I didn't feel she was a well rounded character.

The difference for me is that I'd actually like to learn more about Jenny, whereas I just want Glory to go away. Not because she's "evil", but because she annoys me without entertaining me.

My family decided to stay home and watch "Frozen" instead. Boo. Not that I wasn't up for "Frozen". MiAmor hadn't seen it, so it was nice to get his reaction. Just, going out the movies is still a treat I hate to miss.
