Farewell, Podocarpus

The tree guys just carted away the 30-plus-foot-tall podocarpus tree from our lightwell. Whoever planted it, back when it was probably a wee 3-ft sapling, put it right next to the house, where its roots could push up under the foundation and also start working on the pipes. It was a beautiful, lush thing, adding so much peaceful green where we would otherwise be looking right into the neighbor's dining nook. Which now we are. I'm bummed. I loved that tree.

Also, I'm not making many comments these days, because my seasonal_spuffy posting day looms, and I am nowhere near ready. I hope my offering doesn't get me drummed out of the corps.
