Do your part...it won't hurt a bit

If you're like me, you may have trouble making decisions — especially when all the choices are good ones! Still somebody's got to do it, right? You have a few more days to let your voice be heard at the Running With Scissors Awards. There is a rather painless little poll going, one question for art, one for short fic. They are calling it the Peeper's Choice and the Hairy Eyeball Awards (Viewer and Reader's choice). Go check it out and make the mods and the creative folks who are nominated feel the love! It isn't difficult or time-consuming, I swear.

Full disclosure: One of my stories is nominated in one of the categories, but so are several far more worthy selections. A couple of really amazing pieces I hadn't seen/read before are included, so finding more of the good stuff made me happy.

Welcome to December, my lovelies! I have a feeling we're going to have a ball!

Okay, I voted.

Gold star for you!

Oddball yank note: In the last few years, the polling stations give out "I voted!" stickers when you do your civic duty. I feel a bit like I'm in kindergarten again. However, they are useful for sticking on top of your doorbell, so canvasers know you can no longer be swayed.

Heh. That list reads like my flist. Which should mean we're a terrible clique, except I don't think you all know each other. (Are we a clique? I've never been in one of those...) Anyway, we are fab, and the noms are for the most wonderfully random collection of enjoyable fic.

Congrats once again, and thanks for the gift too!

I didn't know everybody on the list, so I must not be part of the clique. Though actually, I prefer the term "school" which is how art history teachers refer to creative groupings. "Movement" is a bit unfortunate and far too grand for us.

The variety on that list is really something breathtaking: from extreme dystopia to high hilarity, with some delightful sex thrown in. *loves* Wondrous times, m'dear.
